Solomon’s Prayer - Intellectual

God appeared to Solomon and said to him

“Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

Solomon answered God

“Give me wisdom and knowledge

That I may lead this great people of yours?”

I stared death in eyes I was focused like a laser/

They said I was a failure cuz I went against the waves like a sailor

‘gainst the grain like a barber

Customized like a tailor

‘stead of hatred I offered Solomon’s prayer

They say heavy is the head that wears the crown/

I didn’t comprehend at first but I understand it now/

They didn’t believe in us

But they all regret it now/

Cuz at this point a blind man can see where we headed now

It’s a runaway train/

Only god can stop it/

Disregard their every word/

If love ain't the topic/

I’m focused on reality

They worried bout the optics/

They readin social media/

I’m readin bout the prophets/

I ain’t talkin bout my pockets/

All these evil debaters/

Fishin for a fight

Asking questions tryna to bait us/

They perceived me as a traitor/

Asked God to give me wisdom/

Bowed my head, closed my eyes

Recited Solomon’s Prayer/

God said to Solomon

“Since this is your heart’s desire

And you have not asked for wealth

Possessions or honor

Nor for the death of your enemies

And since you have not asked for a long life

But for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people

Over whom I have made you king

Therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you

And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor”
