My friend once gave me a fancy cigar, he said smoke up son cause you might as well need it

And now that friend has the busiest car, a warm weather jacket to hide all his feelings

And hell no, this isn't techno, slide melodies and percussion that I used to play years ago

A long way to take a dig and incense like the old way that sat above your hand, and no I won't forget you

Talk to the window cause the dog don't bark, carry a tune because it was perfectly woven

Hold up a candle in the middle of the night, rushed to my skull until I cracked open

And I know I'm afraid of moving away, that fact that gunshot put to the grave

Sometimes I can barely hear

Until I hit the road, with me and my car

....

Like an old folks home and a funeral pier

I guess I'm never leaving this old mason jar

And I and I will tear you apart and put you together in some other town

No matter the weather, I'm fine

And I'll make you feel like everyone in downtown buildings, taking your money like nobody's business to find out that your half the man you used to know
