A tracer bullet flies

Through a six year old's mind

The thought blew mine

In march 2003

Glad i wasn't Iraqi

I stepped out into the rainy street

And reviewed the facts

There weren't many that i could grasp

Sixteen years and panic attacks

Later i consider the impending collapse

Hitting closer to home

Bunched in a stream of refugees

Headed for Stockholm

Caught up in

A post-World War Three

Exodus syndrome

Wretches stretch

For mile on mile

In single file

To no avail

A two-tone wail

Breaches the atmosphere

As night vision gear hunts down

Anything two shades too brown

In school they taught me

Rules and histories

Great use of that i have now

As my childhood fantasies

Of "end world hunger, bring world peace"

Are kicked right in the teeth

Before my eyes by my two feet
