[Verse 1]
Everyone who shot at me approximately missed
Dropping hits
Whether or not I stop and hit
I'm popping shit
Oh dump it all unload
Reload sold it to the coldest
Beats are always on it
Everything mandatory
Even waking up this morning
Every day I'm in mourning
Sin more and more and I
Try to stay calm
While the states that we adore
Are bombing us with napalm
Well I came to bring it back on
Sync and act normal
Now we in the fog
Subliminals forced through the media
The people
You beat em
For me to pack demeanor that I lack
That's how the cartoons said it
[Chorus]
[Verse 2]
And really bring the damage in
I think you might be panicking
At my brain like the Thought Police
I come around they run from me
As someone that be travelling
I gotta keep battling
My instincts struggling
To keep things rumbling
I'm in deep trouble and
Sleeping stumbling
Crazy on the double and
Crawling through the rubble
Keep the heads bobbing
And listen darling
One day I'll come home
And glisten
Diamond
Never really knew
What I was missing though
Never could refrain
From kissing you
[Chorus]
There's no coming back
From the dark when I attack
The fog when I attack
They fall when I attack
There's no coming back
From the dark when I leave
The fog when I leave
They gone when I leave
I take it upon myself to “save” the music industry from fake artists and sellouts.
At first grabbing the industries attention with my rhymes and melodies, later assaulting it from the inside.
With clever rhyme schemes I try to engage with my followers and get the power I need to end the domination pop music has had over them for the last few decades. Bringing back meaning and skill to the music industry.
I feel like we’re taught from a young age that violence is good.
Glorifying villains in kid’s cartoons even.
Reducing our empathy by default.
Which reigns true while growing up and witnessing that the more evil a person is the more success and profit they have in our current governing system. (Or so it seems)
I feel this is especially true for the time period we live in.
People’s voices ARE heard, but the message is negative, judgmental and more restrictive than the reality.
This is why in the song I’m portraying the hero of the story to step up and take things into his own hands, bringing back freedom of thought while at the same time freeing himself from his “cage”.
Almost paradoxically, he frees himself from silence, just so he can get to a position of power and then bring freedom to everyone else (annulling his past misdeed of breaking the silence)
To fill the role of a leader in this land I’m forced to put aside my own interests and emotions.
Doing everything it takes to get to a higher position, even if it means doing it all alone.
When the hero of the story takes up arms against the media, music industry, or which ever big organization you imagine the story being about, he destroys their dictatorial power.
Taking his own life as well, he pulls the enemy into the abyss, never to be seen again.
The other part of the chorus represents the oncoming concern of the people the hero freed.
“Since he too has fallen to bring us freedom, there might only be a matter of time before we lock ourselves up again. Who will save us then?”
The media, bombarding us with drama and fear, succeeds in dividing us. Making us “fall through the medium”, which I imagine like the difficulty in a game, all the way to hard mode.
If that makes sense to you..
I’m trying to describe the feeling I have about the age we live in, like we all lived normally, then at one time someone suddenly changed the difficulty. Resulting in this horrid world.
