Square One

[Verse 1]

A kid walks from school. People said he was trash

He  wanted to tell them wrong and took a different path

He  decided to rap. He then took a nap

Then a little idea caused his head to snap

He got into his desk. Wrote a little bar

With  all that he wrote, we knew he's gonna get far

He  always had a dream, a dream to rap

To proove to all those kids that he ain't some old sap!

He  went to work. He always prepared

While other rappers go to the mic they get scared

My man wasn't. He always had something to say

It's always involved in having a good day

He  knew that the rap game would be so fun

He's only got to start at square one

[Verse 2]

Once his debut single hit the store

Everybody wanted to hear some more

He had his own sound. He wasn't some sellout

He wasn't some brat who loves to pout

He only made good effort, never made a flop

He never knew just when to stop

He made a lot of albums. People got tired

People started hating it, it sounded uninspired

He wanted people to understand that he was trying

He wanted to make more good music he ain't lying

This ends the story but he ain't done

He got through square one

[Chorus]

Square one! Had to start with square one!

Square one! Had to start with square one!

Square one! Had to start with square one!

Square one! Had to start with square one!
