Melancholy Graphite

My youth was

Snatched up from me at such a young age, at no shock

From infancy to elderly the old sage of the block

Dirty handed suit wearer

Unsuspected crown bearer

Feel entirely better in gloomier weather

This that new age alchemy

It turns peasants into cavalry and vineyards into wineries

But still

I feel eternally second place

I smile with contentment usually just to save some face

I'm never satisfied, and personally that's okay

The highlight of my day penciled in light-gray

Moralism stricken, rotten to the core

Snakes in the grass snacks for crows croaking nevermore

On one hand, I want to vent and ask for help

The other individualist I'm better by myself

I get the facts about me mixed up with the rumors

Weighing down on my thoughts like cognitive tumors

Self doubt like a cloud when it resonates in the room

It irritates like ivy poison blossoms constantly at bloom

Black matter, grief infected, mediocrity rejected

No gestate, taking heart from my chest plate

Just going through the motions, rafts on angry oceans

With no land in sight just give in I might

Flip a coin, if heads you feel a lot better

If tails feel a thousand feet under the weather

I rap mad clever, regardless if you hear it or not. Automated and lifeless, mechanical bot

Pay compliments to the chef on the matter

Ashen-gray dish bitter boy mad hatter

I'm just tying not to sink in the nautical, with the occulist on my optical, mind in the tropicals
