[Verse 1]

First off fuck the idea of stereotypical hip-hop cred

I'm not here for fame, money, drugs or pumping you all full of lead

I'm here to embrace this art form

Spitting my lyrics with sharp force

Grabbing every chance that I can get to better my flow and mark yours

Learning from the rap critic and hearing the failings of the popular masses

Manufactured rap claiming that it can kick our asses

When this competition lets us rise up and defy their bullshit standards

Underground skill slaying corporations and leaving them as past tense

This "I'm better than you" rap is getting kinda boring

Yeah, your flow may be better but at least I have a fucking story to tell

But oh well, through a crazy, messed-up life I'm travelling

Penning rhymes of my experience while you're asking "What's a paladin?"

You wanna sign with Soulja Boy or Lil Wayne to get your meal ticket?

Bending society's ear and using new found green in order to trick it?

All you do is rap about how you got swag and you're getting paid

Scrabbling for all the money like Daniel Craig searching for marmalade

[Hook]

Heavy metal rap nerd

But you don't care as long as these lines are hot

Time to act absurd

Hearing voices in my head as I lose the plot

Screaming dissent in the mirror

Berating myself for all the shit roads I've taken

Patience will start to grow thinner

Thoughts indecipherable like a number station

Can you see where this is going? I don't fucking know

You're within the vaults of Extoth now so welcome to my show

Life got me sitting at a crossroads with nowhere to fucking go

So I guess I'll hold back depression while therapy's in session, but still let hate flow

[Verse 2]

This music is for the times you feel oppression and strife

When you look at the situation you're stuck in and just think fuck this life

Still headfucked by your ex-wife

Traitors ever-present in your sight

Channel the anger in venomous rhymes before you pull the knife

I can't take the murderer's path

I've got a kid to look out for

So rage and desire turn into the fire when I decide to spit rap raw

But the thought in the back of my head whispers "Isn't this what you asked for?"

You deserved a betrayal of that scale for the temptations you had detailed in your head

Not knowing how it'll affect your current situation

So I take the blame and go fucking insane whenever I see the replacement

Using hip-hop and metal to excise the need for aggression

And even using a contest beat to pen my confessions

Music should never be done for money, your tracks should hold a piece of your soul

And act as a barrier to stop the red haze that makes you lose control

So cast your vote but don't expect my rhymes to finish with this poll

We'll see how this goes as my inner hate still unfolds
