Gulliver’s Travels, ain’t written for kids

I’d say most grown-ups are too young to read it

The Oscar for best pic, should be renamed

To Best budget, simply best budget

Anything can be a piece of art

But things with a purpose, won’t bear that name

The eighties’ rock music was nobody’s fault

It was the drum plague, that deadly disease

If you want a scapegoat, it should be MTV

And the shift from sound to vision

Money should be sold at half price

Armies should always fight together, on the same side

The reason for war is, that evolution’s too slow

Too many Cro magnon chromosomes in orbit

Dictators fall like trees

Commies like spruce, fascists like pines

In the end they all fall

Spruce rot outwards, pines inwards

Religious conflicts are rarely religious

It’s always possessions, it’s always the land

Religious oppression is rarely religious

It’s usually cultural, local and cultural

Religious people think that they know

People of science, know that they think

And I know I stole that though

In lack of knowledge, have an opinion

The more experienced, the more in doubt

The reason for war is, that evolution’s too slow

There’s too many Cro magnon chromosomes still in orbit
