I never thought I wouldn’t see your face again

I think about it every day, it never ends

I know our only powers growing from within

But I’m stuck in every moment that it could have been

So I navigate through broken doors

Never finding place no more

Feel my body swollen sore

Happiness, I do implore

Hurting myself all the time

Hard to write a single rhyme

I hope we’ll be fine

If I knew that you were fighting for your life

I woulda been there every second, every night

Every single time I close my eyes

I know that somewhere else you’re still alive, that you’re still alive

But you’re not here

I dread that I can’t hold you near

Crazy how moments can disappear

Losing them now is my greatest fear

So many places I thought you’d be

None of them now, they’re all so empty

Say that it all leads to our destiny

But why the necessity

If I knew that you were fighting for your life

I woulda been there every second, every night

Every single time I close my eyes

I know that somewhere else you’re still alive, that you’re still alive

Every night, I pray in my mind, that you’re still alive, you’re still alive

Tears in my eyes, reveal the inside, I need you alive, I need you alive
