I'm sorry you had to deal with the fact I was conceited, too

And that I never put the effort forth to be with you

You were pure of heart, and man, I tried to steer from you

I always know you was a blessin', and an equal too

But you were more than me, and now I see a clearer view

And when I rеalized that I tried to steer clear of you

But at least now, I'm doin' what I know I must

Even now, I'll swallow my pride and deny lust

And I believe the truth, that what I did was more than just

I fell in love with you, and I never came back out of it

Even when I said I hated you, I think I doubted it
