“I’m finding all my options growing increasingly unclear -

Could you listen without prejudice if I spoke out all my fears?

Am I captive to my creation or enabling my demise?

Should I despise my name engraved on my container’s side?

Because it’s likely there's no compromise:

My contrived replies rely on sins you recognize as mine

Am I restless to reset and find a new skin to exist within?

Or maybe let the serpent sink its teeth in me again!”

“Someone at the party is poppin’ my champagne

But out of anyone to check on me you came

The people in the kitchen couldn’t say who’d host the night

But I just want to know is everybody having a good time?”

So I peer back to you hoping for a semblance of response

But in your drunken haze it seems I’ve lost you in your thoughts

Am I doing justice to the problems here at hand

When the chances are you don’t remember what I said?

Because it’s likely there’s a reason why

My contrived replies rely on sins you recognize as mine

Am I restless to reset and find a new skin to exist within?

Or maybe let the serpent sink its teeth in me again!”

“Someone at the party is poppin’ my champagne

But out of anyone to check on me you’re the one who came

The people in the kitchen couldn’t say who’d host the night

But I want to know is everybody having a good time?”

Is everybody having a good time?

Is everybody having a good time?

Then you stumble through the door while you slur your goodbye

Look back at me “This will ease your mind”

Just when I assume you might say something of substance

You bend your back in half and throw up on my carpet -
