We drove to New York City

Nine hours to a show

I asked some kid with a smart phone

To tell us where to go

Three songs in it started to rain so hard we couldn't see

So we slowly put our heads down

And gathered up our things

I slept as you drove back

And woke to the sound of the horn

Blaring at a fox standing in the road

Unfazed by your scorn

You said "He came out out of nowhere"

I said "That's the first fox I've ever seen"

Then a few minutes later

I slowly fell back asleep
