Drake’s hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada usually starts to reach winter temperatures in the middle of November. Around November 20, 2017, meteorological reports registered negative Celsius temperatures there, long before the official start of winter on December 21.
As winter hits, the sun starts to set earlier, and with less sunlight comes lower temperatures. On November 20, the sun in Toronto set around 4:45 PM/EST, and rose in the morning at 7:20 AM.
“La Flame” is a nickname for Travis Scott, derived from Travis' 2013 song, “Blocka La Flame.”
Drake and Trav have collaborated prior to “SICKO MODE” on 2015’s “Company,” and more recently, on 2017’s “Portland.”
Drake uses the term “sicko” (or 6icko) to describe his friends, but in this context, it’s referring to the rager mentality for which Travis is known.

“Pick and roll” is a basketball term used to describe the action of a teammate setting a screen (blocking the defender’s lane), and then “rolling” off the defender to receive a pass from his teammate.
Travis metaphorically receives a pass from Drake, as the beat cuts out and Travis takes over.
Travis' hometown team, the Houston Rockets, is especially known for excellent pick and roll plays.
