I felt it detach, as tendrils of luminance tore away like flesh
As in a dream, a vast desert of shimmering water, cloaked in a heavy white veil consumed inwards, into a deeper void
Immense
Where nothing was
A flickering light emerging out from the distance as pale hands were reaching out to its writhing grasps
As if carrying a stillborn child sought to carry me away with its tongs
A choking darkness pierced through me as I drew closer
A sickened, sensitive shadow formed before my eyes
Clothed in the drapes of a black sky
Its horrid features slowly deformed, as if peeling from some cutaneous disease
Fighting the liquid silver, I was devoured in its maw
Pulling me down into its determined vortex, I saw the blight drain into the murky waters
As blood flowing from the body, into a violent stream, filling my entire vision, until there was nothing else to see
And my soul was free
