"But it's for Jeremiah a reminder

It's like this prophet can see through the smoke of judgement

He says it's because of those mercies that we are not consumed

That is utterly destroyed

It's an incredible statement

Because Jeremiah has seen death and destruction all around him, and yet, he says:

'You know what?

It's not the end

It's not the end

It is not the end

We may be down

But we are not out

We're not gonna be completely destroyed or completely wiped out, like the other nations, that have been decimated by the Babylonians'
