Well, I know how it’s to be

There’s nothing more for you and me

The sun has set on us forever, baby

We met up and had our fun

Underneath this tree of plums

But now it’s time to be done

Here you stand before my eyes

Soon you’ll fade into white light

Looking back on the times

I will shed a tear for you

You shed a tear for me

Ending the chapter of our story…

Cloudy sky on Saturday

Purple-covered, edged with shades of grey

Images I see in the gloomy haze

Shadows of the past reflecting memories

Memories found a way back into my mind

I thought that they were gone, but how could I be so blind?

Now the time has come, I’m taking back what’s mine

I want my space back and I’m gonna draw the line

Chapter Number Nine came after Chapter One

I guess it’s my fault ‘cause I went and jumped the gun

I can’t believe I thought that you would be the one

Never thought it’d be so cold under the sun

It wasn’t easy letting go, especially so soon

Our bond was badly timed like fireworks in June

Our first kiss felt like a gentle hit of weed

But then, later on, it began to feel cheap

CHORUS:

Well, I know how it’s to be

There’s nothing more for you and me

The sun has set on us forever baby

Well, I don't wanna make you cry

But right now I feel like

We're both just wasting our time

We met up and had our fun

Underneath this tree of plums

But now it’s time to be done

Here you stand before my eyes

Soon you’ll fade into white light

Looking back on the times

I will shed a tear for you

You shed a tear for me

Ending the chapter of our story

Looking down at the sand on a sunny day

The wind picks up and it blows it my way

It blows through my hair like memories

Hitting on my face like lunar rays

When I gave up a part of me

It felt like I lost all of me

And now, I’ll never see

What we could’ve been

But now I see

That we never should’ve been

That’s fine by me

Because now you’re just

Another bad memory

It wasn’t easy letting go, especially so soon

Our bond was badly timed like fireworks in June

Our first kiss felt like a gentle hit of weed

But then, later on, it began to feel cheap

CHORUS
