Hook: Landon Wordswell

I grow, I cope, I smoke

I know I wrote to forget about everything

To forget about every pain

To forget about everything

Verse 1: Landon Wordswell

I know that I'm a pain to some

On the wrong side of the tracks until my train will come

On the other side of the map - I won't remain in slums

I'ma just survive off of rap until my name is sung

Speak a little nonsense, but I never try to lie

Eating at my conscious - swallowing my pride alive

Writing is my Nine to Five just how I planned it

So every time I try to cry they hit me with that "man" shit

I can't fit depression in my antics

With my head in the clouds - I'm about to land it

Rapping with my eyes closed shattering the stanzas

Picasso of the hot flow - splattering the canvas

Writing was my outlet when I was an outcast

When my attitude didn't match what my mouth has

I do shows - I don't hide no more

& I write so I don't have to cry no more

& that's real to me

Hook: Landon Wordswell

I grow, I cope, I smoke

I know I wrote to forget about everything

To forget about every pain

To forget about everything

Verse 2: Landon Wordswell

Look I had a hard time in high school

I was talked about, brought up and lied to

But shit - so was everybody else

When things went wrong I was everybody's help

Then I went to college - social skills polished

Started getting acknowledged for showin' em what the style is

It's a good feeling when you're looking at the sites

From the rearview when they said you couldn't do it, right?

Hating turned to jealousy - jealousy turned

I saw it's ugly head and knew my destiny's earned

Found out I was sick as the rest of these germs

Once I shot the sheriff - now it's the deputy's turn

Cursed to move the Feta with a verse or two or better

So you feel it when I'm working through a personal vendetta

So naw mama I don't cry no more

I just write a couple verses til my eyes grow sore

& keep moving

Hook: Landon Wordswell

I grow, I cope, I smoke

I know I wrote to forget about everything

To forget about every pain

To forget about everything

Verse 3: Landon Wordswell

Never thought my life would be like this

Price to breathe right's steep - might be lifeless

Notice this is not how it's supposed to get, but I focus it

& yet my mind's up in trenches like coats & shit

I quit hoping it get open I've chosen a different notion

Imposing the living - deriving the bulk of it

Giving is so legit - it's shifting - my soul is sick

Given that most of folk will just listen I'll show ya this

Lifting my shoulder's chip and then dip it close to the lips

I don't try really hide 'em I just swallow my problems

I guess stress is just a sign of no rest

Pain's greater than the brain, but my mind is no less

So when people's dreams shatter they try to deny it

And say mind over matter but don't try to divide it

Besides - it's modesty that's gotten me thus far

I love all pain - it helps me sustain through the rough parts

I know I wrote to forget about everything

To forget about every pain

To forget about everything
