That we bow down before and say

"Well we've got to do this, because this is what's going to make our life good

I've got to have this, because this is what I need

To really live the best life and to avoid disasters and problems."

We have our own little ways of things that we do here

That we're willing to sacrifice for, because, we think if we give ourselves to thеse things

It's gonna go great for us

Things like, addiction, drugs, alcohol, sеx

Pornography is a big one in our world today

There are things that we do

That win the admiration of others

Who get very taken up with, our pride, our looks, our beauty, our fitness

Ways that we appear, make [?] absorb us

Take our time, take our energy

Leisure is a big temptation in our culture

The more and better kinds of leisure opportunities we have, the better life we think we're gonna have

Think about the false gods, the idols, that you worship in your own life

Think about where you put your money

Where you put your time, and where you spend a lot of your thoughts

And you could discover, that, false gods and idols, are not simply, simply, something of the past

And we may not have alters, burn incense, and have the most statues set up in these states

But we all have ways in which, we spend our time, our money, our resources on things that we think are going to satisfy us and brings us the fullness of life

But really, they are only false gods

And may for a time bring us some sense of joy or happiness

But ultimately, they will fade
