There was a restaurant

On the top floor of the Hudson’s Bay

It was called the Paddlewheel

It still is today

And there really was a paddlewheel

Floating in a watery tank

You could lean over the rail, throw a penny in

And make a wish as it sank

I used to try and land the pennies on the paddles of the paddlewheel

So they’d stay there for a second before they fell

I thought if I could do it then my wish would come true

But I was small and it was hard to do
