Growing Pains

I could cry if I had time to waste

But these days i’ve been questioning your taste

If I had a different appeal

You’d wanna know exactly how I feel

Your eyes are an anchor to my soul

Give me three days and I’ll sell it all

I’d be a dead man by now

If all you did was question just how

But I’m not exited

And nobody’s buying it

Come to think if I tried it

You’d be the one to find it

Violet letters to my heart

Addressed to my inner saboteur

These days I’ve been suffering my sound

For people who won’t even stick around

Haven’t heard from you since

But I think its a better alternative

Affairs but not in that sense

If you were me you’d get it

I think it’s time

Growing pains in my mind

Allegedly mine

Not coming back but you can try

You, you can try

I’d let you back in

If what your sayin is you regret

Holding on to senseless hope

Opinionated is that a joke

I don’t mind it

For someone who’s findin them

My sense appeal is mindless

Blinding, timeless

Fixing it like it isn’t broke

You say you’ve changed but low and behold

Wanna say we’re on good terms

But knowing you that’ll open a can of worms

Flipping pages so we don’t stay

On the same one and I’m afraid

You’ll take any word as a invition

To be heard

I think it’s time

Growing pains in my mind

Allegedly mine

Not coming back but you can try
