I'm leaving, I gotta say peace

It's almost too hard to release

All the family I've built here; it cuts deep

But remember that I'm leaving more than guilt here

Complicated dance and I'm two left shoes

Was just in my black tie with two step shoes

I'm bracing for the backlash - take a deep breath

But I know in my heart I gotta take these steps

And they won't understand, I just have to take it

Smile when I see em, and I'm gon' have to fake it

It hurts when you leaving a church

And you can't look back when you starting your search

And, and, and I know it's not a building

But the way people treat you, you get caught up in the feeling

Picking up the pieces with the Scriptures

Talkin with my real friends, who don't treat me like I'm different

Those relationships came with conditions

On every week attendance and surface level friendships

Truth is, man, you ain't wanna leave

Your heart is torn up about it, you been tryna grieve

Your wife lookin at you, and you just tryna lead

Comfort zone is gone, and you just tryna breathe

I'm talkin like it's you, and really bro it's me

Been tryna work this out, man, it's hard for you to see

All the bitterness I'm fighting, feel like I'm goin crazy

Attacks on my mind, never knew I was this angry

I knew my best, best efforts were broken

But I'm sick of people questioning my motives

Man, they told me buy in, so I bought a hundred shares

I pull out and now I'm getting judgmental stares

Yeah, I see the snares, and yeah I know I'm tripping

But He catch me when I fall, like

"Listen, you just follow orders, I'm ordering your footprints

Imma grant you courage; trust me, it's a good gift

I saw all your efforts, you just keep praying

Just keep loving mercy, Imma send you ravens

Imma show you church, you gon see my Body

Ain't nobody perfect, but I make em Godly

You can still love em, even from a distance

You won't lose nothing, my grace is sufficient."

I been tryna trust You

I been tryna trust You

So even if it's just You

Your grace has always been sufficient
