[Matt Schmidt]

This story begins with them

The two brothers destined to an unfortunate fate

Consuming all the worth they all possess

Damning each others souls

Two brothers bound to a sin

Worshiping God felt fucking better to them

Born in a time where men praised the soil

And God gave them crops

Lest they need to toil

Abel gave God luscious sheep

Cain handed God Abel's fresh fruit

God chose Abel's gifts from Cain's herd

Boiling with rage, he felt the need to fucking crumble

Filled with anger, he gazed towards his brother

And the ruthless thought began to fucking boil

I bashed his head in with a jagged rock

It felt so fucking good, I could barely walk

Blood drips in the soil from my brother Abel

Gasping for his last breath, I run back to the stable

Oh mother! Why do you scream?

Father should have seen this becoming of me

I just wanted God to love me

But Abel had to give him my sheep and ruin me

Cursing his son, the father stood dazed

Wondering how his eldest son could have ever mustered

The hate required for this act of violence

Is this all just a prerequisite to the end of time?

Banished from my home

To wander the land of Nod

Lucid thirst for power, my hunger grows ever more

Famished, seek out the victims of my undying need to control

Father! My brother will not be the end of me

I will gladly walk this plane of existence in search for answers

For you will not control me, God

I am not your child

We are not your children

And nothing will ever be by your design

Is it me? Was it me, God? Why don't you understand?

I did it for you! For us! I did it for us

And how can I be a better service to you

Can't you forgive me, brother?

Brother?
