[Verse 1]

I remember it as well as ever

You came home and your dad had a smile on his face

Big as though you'd just won the lottery

And if only he knew the things you were really winning

Buried beneath the upper part of your torso

Kicking and screaming to get out

It happened to the both of us

The things we could never have

The dreadful and silent reflection

Staring back at my shirtless body

It happened to the both of us

[Verse 2]

Thе dreams that I spent thinking if only I met somеone

Willing to lend me a hand and secretly perhaps even kiss me

But only as a secret

If only I knew then, it happened to the both of us

The board of names we both threw darts at

Trying to choose the ones we liked

It was a situation, I had yours and you had mine

It was a big deal

It happened to the both of us

[Verse 3]

The air left my lungs and it only would come back in waves

And sharp bitter unforgiving waves, at that

The words whispered to me; "It's not looking good"

And I could see it in his eyes, he knew what was going to happen

I found the scent of tragedy, I figured out the code

I finally realized where the path was going

I drank all of your tears, and I tasted all your blood

But your body ran dry and it happened to the both of us

[Bridge]

You were never allowed to come back here as a kid

Now you get to look back here and see all the shit you did

We can tour the hallways and show you who you should be

We can give you money if you'll just give us shit for free

This place was never really meant to be other than what it is

This place wasn't ever really meant for you to have kids

You could never decide if it was your body or your mind

But there was nothing left to say at all

[Rant]

There's a reason he never told you about anything, it was 20 years ago, we have new technology now, and we have great innovations! Everything is digitally upscaled, you communicate with the power of Morse code, you get to reenact television without any of the death, isn't it exciting? Don't you think? Everything is sorted into file sizes! They're finally making those long prophesized microchips. It's upsetting how similar it is to "Black Mirror" but that's fine. The uncanny valley is a social construct, it's not real. You have so many friends that you can talk to all at once! And you spend the night in a haunted house for $1,000, and you come back unscathed, and the house is two years old and it's your house and you weren't paid at all, and this is happening to the both of us, can't you see? This is real life! This is the world we're in! I've figured out how to make those chemicals align! I've finally realized how to make you happy and you're shutting me away. It's not that hard to fix it, man. You just need to give me access to your entire life, I don't get how you can't do that. It's happening to all of us. These are social experiences. You have to have friends. You get to have lovers. This is what your life is. Why won't you take it? We all know you deserve it. Standing across from me won't change anything. It's a universal experience. It's not unique to anything or anyone. There's no more worrying to be had, and if you are worried, then it doesn't matter. Society is Pangea again. You can go anywhere! And if you don't like it, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter anymore. None of it ever mattered. It didn't. I know it didn't, and if you think anything to the contrary, then you know what? I guess you're gonna go to hell

[Verse 4]

I am so fucking hungry

I need to open the cupboards

Why is everything expired

Why is my nose bleeding

Where's the doctor

What's a neurologist

Where's the prescription

Where's the prescription

It happens every day, it's just more money to spend

It's just more shit to save, you and I were always equally doomed

We were always destined to be nothing at all

It was never meant to go this far but then

It was never meant to not go this far and well

I could've been a real person

And I waste almost four fucking years not being a real person

I guess there were things to do and things to say

I guess there were thoughts to think

I guess there were songs to write

I guess there was always time, though

[Chorus]

I've got nothing left to say anymore

I've got nothing left to think anymore

I've got nothing left to do anymore

But I guess you and I are both going to hell

I've got nothing left to say anymore

I've got nothing left to drink anymore

I've got nothing left to eat anymore

But I guess you and I are both going to hell

[Verse 5]

I covered my dirty bleeding hands with the rag

And cried in the mirror for half an hour

The faces in my wall kept yelling

I remembered all the memories

The water wasn't running very well

The pressure was low on the faucet

Specifying the faucet 'cuz the pressure in general was high

I don't know why I guess I just wanted something to say again but that's all

[Chorus]

I've got nothing left to say anymore

I've got nothing left to think anymore

I've got nothing left to do anymore

But I guess you and I are both going to hell

It happened to the both of us, it happened to the both of us

It happened to the both of us, it happened to the both of us

It happened to the both of us, it happened to the both of us

It happened to the both of us, it happened to the both of us

It happened to the both of us, it happened to the both of us

It happened to the both of us, it happened to the both of us

It happened to the both of us, it happened to the both of us

It happened to the both of us, it happened to the both of us and we're going to hell

[Outro]

Kid has got no friends

Kid has got no friends

Kid has got no friends at all

Kid has got no friends

Kid has got no friends

Kid has got no friends at all

Kid has got no friends at all
