If I could separate

This nausea from my brain

I'd open up this wooden lock

And throw it all away

As the wind takes them away again

My thoughts will slip so others may attend

When buried in so far

Those colors dim over

Why doesn't anything?

Move oh-so slowly

And break in what remains

I'm so tired of counting sheep

Tucked my own head down to my knees

Why doesn't anything?

It's sickly to think this way

So they'd give themselves a nap midday

In the sun

Restless in the sun

So they'll break their own authority

And disappear until the hours' done

When buried in so far

Those colors dim over

Why doesn't anything?

Movе oh-so slowly

And break in what remains

I'm so tired of counting sheep

Tuckеd my own head down to my knees

Why doesn't anything?

Keep all the people inside

They're desperate like a soft candle light

Keeping them all up tight

Their shadows are whispering, putting them all to sleep

You seemed so eager to try

So many things, but you can't decide

The moment that light goes blind

We're sitting here watching our time pass by
