I lost both hands in the accident

I said I don't know if I want to keep on living

But you said you'd stay here if I did

So the doctors gave me new hands

They're both strong, they sure can grip

But there is no real sensation in synthetic fingertips

Now I only want to touch you one more time

Feel your fingers laced in mine

But I have no feeling left in my

Bionic hands

I looked down unsure at my new hands

I said I don't know if I'll ever learn to use these

But you said you'd hold them if I did

So the doctors gave me rehab new methods

A new technique

But there is no help or training for the weakness in my knees

Now I only want to touch you one more time

Feel your fingers laced in mine

But I have no feeling left in my

Bionic hands

I wore black gloves all year round

Until you said you'd like to help

And you gave me colored mittens that you knitted by yourself

I would swim across a shark infested sea

To feel the my hands upon your knee

But I have no feeling left in these

Bionic hands
