These thick, black woods

With trails long overgrown

This journey I started many years ago

The last time I saw the sun

This mountain on which I roam

Constantly surrounded by thick fog

Its sinister presence all around

Drains all life therein to be found

My clothes are torn to shreds

My skin covered in wounds

Eyes looking for the way

To get out of these woods

Another night casts its mantle

Upon this cursed land

Another night where visions

Will haunt me

Visions of the path

That takes me beyond

This shroud of grey

And as I close my eyes

I see the fog clearing away

Stripped of all remaining sanity

At last I get to see the dawn again!

Fading darkness

Above my head

Fading darkness

Above this mount of death
