He's wired tight, high strung cannot find his mind sometimes

He's trying when he's stepping outta line

Some times he's fighting a riot beside his lungs

Cause he's bored just little kid with a big gourd

Cannot get a handle on the mandatory STEM categories

So half of him is apathy for everything the other half lives for

He doesn't get it in fact he's done with it but dads trying to make living

And has to make a decision to let him fail or get him fixed with a little adrenaline Powder packed in a couple caps of

ADDerall

Now he's railing

It's possibly impossible that he could ever fail

The monotony he fought before was nothing but a failure

A stalemate, an ailment in his brain there ain't nothing else to blame

Quote on quote

So he's swallowing the key to a jail of dopamine

Now there's hope

Too little work, too much make believe

Gotta gotta get him up to speed

God, you gotta get that pun to see

How the pedagogy thinks he should think

Out of the box and inside the lines

It's a paradox for anybody that's trying

So somebody's trying to defy the biology, rewire the psychology

That denies his mind all of the following

Focus focus focus

On the slowest motion notes of curriculum meant to hold him

In a social mold now maybe later we can focus on his dreams

But for now he doesn't sleep, doesn't eat, doesn't think about a thing

And the fifth grade is easy as can be

Day in day out

Clock in clock out

He's locked in, can't stop it

Dropped outta home and went away to college

Got a little gaunt but he's studying at Harvard

Macroeconomics, how to follow dollars

Yeah he's on the uppers with a brand new dose but

It's a small cost for that brand name diploma

Sixty milligrams to kill exams to keep him feeling snappy

Until his friends are paying him to hit em with an addy

Don't be wack it ain't abuse it just a tactic

That's a fact what don't you get about a performance enhancer

It's for that sick transcript four point it and that's it then I can be happy

Now that's normal and he's watching em popping em

Getting high over all of it realizing he's got a hollowing tolerance

And you're wondering why he wonders if he's ever felt normal at all?

Well, he's beginning to get the idea that there could be more to this biz

Than being born and then put into a corner to sit and absorb

The enormous information dick of a corporate clique of fortunate kids

Who figured it out, how to abuse it

I mean the nature of humans

Create a problem then sell the solution
