A daily journey

To a realm that I hate

I have to toil

My life is at stake

But on my way there

Death's presence with no din

Stopping in my tracks

Encounter with a limb

Down

There upon the ground

Death within the grass

Reminder life cannot last

Staring through these eyes

Locked upon the sin

Just a simple severed limb

Death

Through the flesh has cleft

And left upon the leaves

There is nothing left to bleed

As rain falls from the sky

Walk away from him

Just a simple severed limb

Life continues on

And ten days now have passed

But the limb still remains

Within the rain soaked grass

Foxes seem to chew it

Within the dead of night

They feed upon this limb

And live to see the morning light

Down
