Going through the motions

Everybody knows it

All of these emotions

Are locked and loaded

Don’t know what I’m doing

If it’s a game I’m losing

In the lottery of human

You win a prison

Cuz it’s hard sometimes to keep the faith in life

When you never get an answer to why

Am I hardwired shut

Nowhere else to run

Stuck behind my eyes

Like everyone

No I can’t think straight

Heart race

Flawed and by design

Knowing that we are

All born to die

And when my body expires

Will my soul raise somewhere higher

Or did Creator get tired

No choir

Just fall to fire

So when my eyes close for the last time

Am I still hardwired shut

Question my existence amongst the havoc

Can I make a difference? I guess it can happen

Deep inside the quickstand but I hope for an ocean

Flood me with the answers and tales of Moses
