Here, the narrator is bringing the idea from Verse 2 back, that while others will get bored with her, he won’t
The FNT is the talk of the town, becoming their “temporary savior” as she’s given everyone something new and exciting to talk about. Her position is only temporary because, as the singer warns in the next verse, as soon as they get used to her, their attention may stray to the next Fascinating New Thing to come along.
He can’t believe that this girl is not only single, but that no one has given her attention before him.
He REALLY wants a relationship, essentially ordering the girl to be with him.
