Are these religious beliefs never to be questioned?

Do we have free will or is everything predestined?

Lately I’m unsure of what to believe

Cause all I see is insanity and consumption of thieves

All I see on this planet is the destruction of trees

All I see in humanity is corruption and greed

I see the poverty, the slavery, and misery

I see the pain, hate, and anger in our history

I see the maintained dangers and conspiracies

So honestly could you blame me for all my disbelief?

I want it figured out, enough lies I want the truth

I’m just tryna see it from an unbiased point of view

I gotta question the position I was placed in

I’m not just gonna believe the religion I was raised in

Cause there’s too many other views to be sure

And there’s too many unanswered questions we choose to ignore

Lately I’ve been regretting all my decisions

Second-guessing religions and questioning our existence

Is it religion or science? I need a resolution

But it’s hard to choose with evidence of evolution

Our Father’s what they teach us in the testaments

But if God’s a higher power, shouldn’t he be genderless?

Religion’s supposed to guide people to the light

But it seems like it just divides more than it unites

Cause battles have been fought and there’s violence over religions

If that’s the case then people are dying over opinions

Are all these Bible verses filled with lies denied in churches?

Is it just survival urges? Can we serve a higher purpose?

Is there an afterlife filled with love and paradise?

Or do we decay in soil eaten by the parasites?

Why is Jesus white? How’d a virgin birth his life?

Can I change the things that aren’t right and is it worth the fight?

Maybe I’ve been lost, maybe I’m just innocent

Maybe I’m the one who’s wrong, maybe I’m just ignorant

Maybe I need your guidance so you can take control

And if so then lord take my soul and fill these vacant holes
