[Verse 1: Sayla]

Spider webs, spider webs ‘cause Spiderman’s dead

Been asleep so long, I sleepy hollowed – lost my head

Caught up in the Matrix, gained a couple blessings

Taking Ls for lessons

Still attending funerals and the passings keep coming like changes

It’s constant like war

Soldiers killing soldiers, stranger hating strangers

Neighbours forever suspicious never too sure what for

Yet we go about life until it reaches our shore

Now, here we are here we are

No recollection of Eden even, have we gone too far?

I’m done being a boy, I’m trying to be a better man

I’m done with doing good, I’ll be the best that I can

Do right by the destiny lines inscribed in my hand

Subscribe to the beliefs, the roots, and having my stand

That we’re all part of a cosmic architectural masterplan

I wish I had a cheatsheet to nirvana, oh man

But I Marvel though, I believe in the Watcher

I believe in the Apocalypse and I believe in me Peter Parker

I seek a brighter type of life without having to go Venom

Maybe to Spring I need to Fall, maybe it’s only Autumn

Life’s a Phoenix, you need to burn to be alive to feel it

The truth is right there but these materials conceal it

I was taught to fly high or die in the sky trying

Fly above the evil eye and pursue the light shining, but

Haters going to hate, that’s a given

And kharma’s a bitch, boy, only if you’ve been one

So you live and you learn and you give and you burn

Your whole life you churn money but it won’t fit in the urn

So they gave it all away to whoever it may concern – and they spend what you earned

I guess what I’m saying is, you need to ease a little

Put an easel on and paint a picture of the evils

And I’ll stand by that, yea I stand by that

Low blows, loco flows, rip ‘em like them bayonets

They say you deserve what you get; and you get what you deserve

I love what you have, and I have what I love

[Chorus: Sayla]

And I’m on that midnight wave

Trying to make the streetlights wave back

And I’m on that midnight wave

Trying to make the star lights wave back

[Chorus: Jason Kane]

I think I’m growing up, becoming more reflective

Realizing that the universe and all our souls connected

You can’t better mankind without being a better man

You can’t materialize your thoughts if you keep them in your brain

If darkness fires back, keep speaking through the flames

Don’t ever run the risk of being classified as sane

Being sane never brought about any major change

If hate is the norm, then crazy is the way

Made vows that is played down, chased crowns for my own self-glorification, I can’t respect it

Build something, feel something or reel something

Then cherish what you built and let your soul protect it

Be fascinated with the fascinating

Expand your fascinations, the basic concept that was embedded by the ancients

The wave comes at midnight to bright you some insight

And now we’re on that midnight wave

[Chorus: Sayla]

Trying to make the streetlights wave back

And I’m on that midnight wave

Trying to make the star lights wave back

[Pre-Bridge: Sayla]

Not everything that glitters is gold

Not everything that’s bitter is cold

[Bridge: Sayla]

Life gets tender when it’s dark out

When no one sees, you live your heart out

Songs go on, on through the thunder

May what’s to be, be in our favour

[Chorus: Sayla]

And I’m on that midnight wave

Trying to make the streetlights wave back

And I’m on that midnight wave

Trying to make the star lights wave back
