[Verse 1]
I put all of my eggs in one basket
I'm done begging, I'm done askin'
I'm done chasing, I ain't caught one dragon
If I run faster I'll become ragged
I used to be too eager to be known
I would be alone, raising up the frequency in dopes
I worked harder than the people would suppose
Work, work, work, work my fingers to the bone
I mix business and pleasure, something you shouldn't do
My aching body, what I put it through
I invested too much 'till the best was used up
Nothing left to do but Make More
[Hook]
There's nothing left for me
Nothing left for me
I guess I'll have to make it by myself
There's nothing left for me
Nothing left for me
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
[Verse 2]
I attempt feats bigger than life
When I fail I don't wither and die
I'm a proud person
Even if I'm malnourished I shall flourish
Ruminating 'till it comes out perfect
I do more than just interfacing
Between my manhood and my inner baby
They're interlaced and they're interchanging
But one must kill the other, and that's always entertaining
Straight up, with the curved spine bent
Looking down with the birds eye squint
Perched like a bird on the Burnside Bridge
When the world dies
I'm the first guy with the searchlight lit
I've done nothing but plant seeds
Cause triumph doesn't run in my family
There's nothing left to do but Make More
[Hook]
There's nothing left for me
Nothing left for me
I guess I'll have to make it by myself
There's nothing left for me
Nothing left for me
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Even after draining every last bit of creativity and effort, his family must continue pushing. There is literally nothing left to give, but because his survival depends on his success, he can’t stop even when he has fully exhausted himself.

Burnside’s Bridge is a landmark on the Civil War Antietam National Battlefield near Sharpsburg, northwestern Maryland.
In order to make a living, Sapient has put all of his focus, energy, and attention into Hip Hop. There is no backup plan. If he can’t make it as an artist, he has no idea how he’ll be able to support his family.
In trying to make a name for himself, Sapient has worked himself as hard as possible. However, in doing so he has left himself feeling tapped out, as if the best of what he has to offer is gone. But he already made it clear in the beginning that this was the plan, so the only possible option is to keep creating.
This could be taken metaphorically or literally. On one hand (literal), Sapient could be saying that the Williams family has struggled for generations, meaning it is in his blood to struggle, as well. On the other hand (metaphorical), he could be talking about his Sandpeople family. The Hip Hop crew has built an incredibly large discography over the years with little-to-no recognition on a grand scale. Therefore, what should make his solo efforts any different?
In either scenario, Sapient is saying that he is destined to fail. By “planting seeds,” he is putting in work in all aspects of Hip Hop. Of course he creates his own music, but he also designs album art and produces for other artists, too. However, even after all of that hard work, nothing major has come of it. There may have been some minor growth, but he’s not surprised that it didn’t blossom the way he wanted it to.
