Dear God do you hear me?

It's your boy Dwayne praying  for some thangs that are dear to me

Let me start by saying thank you

You gave me a gift

And most of these folks don't see it

But they know that it's real

I been playing for you

On the organ and such

But because I'm not that good

It just don't mean that much

But I been giving my heart

Everywhere that I been

And some of them been trife Lord

Don't know where I begin

These fake dudes Pharisees don't understand the call

But just mention that you winning and they swear gon ball

But is that fair Lord? How they speak for so few

With the influence of so many in this music we do

And before I am through I'm gone be one those

But please don't let me get greedy and lose my soul

I wouldn't trade that for nothing I promise I'm trying

To be right but it's a fight cause it gets tempting sometimes

Dear Heavenly Father I need your help

Cause I do lots of things sometimes to harm myself

Won't lie like I'm perfect I got some bad habits

Instead of cursing I try and say dagnabit

But that don't always work even though I still try

It's some four letter words that I might let fly

And I spit them with Venom which makes it much worse

So them words cut deep because they're actually a curse get it

I don't mean to hurt nobody don't mean to be mean

But just one of the things thats been plaguing the Avery's

You know we fighting with alcohol we fight with depression

And even after heart attacks we don't learn our lesson

And after suicide attempts no we don't learn our lesson

But somehow after all of this you keep on blessing

Grace and Mercy where would I be without them
