Big Field

Late night, running through the big field

Feeling the moon glow, earth flow, world gyration

Running with the pleasure of bare feet

Hand on my chest, feel the heartbeat

Ready for the love vibration, for the palpitation

Going to tilt back, grinning to the halo overhead

It's a midnight mosspatch moon swoon

It's a pagan hipsway holiday

And I'm spinning around under the moon feeling raised in the haze

Of tree bend leaf shake bird call

Cricket harmony

And my head is on the ground

And my feet are in the air

And my head is on the ground

Now we're getting buck naked in the big barn

When I feel the she shout shock of an echo

Gliding, rising, lifting me up into the open

Till I'm back in the big field

She's by my side, dancing to the treetops

Flickering like a firefly

She's by my side

Dancing to the tree bend leaf shake bird call

Cricket harmony

And my head is on the ground

And my feet are in the air

And my head is on the ground

Clinging to the floor like a sea anemone

Comb my hair like a popstar wannabe

Swinging in my paisley shirt and slacks

Giving out my number, no phone, just fax

Checking the time on my watch so thin

Automatic light as the world grows dim

Out of my queen-size bed at midnight

Into the clubscene crawl till daylight

And my head is on the ground

And my feet are in the air

And my head is on the ground

And my feet are in the air

And my head is on the ground

And my feet are in the air

And my head is on the ground

And my feet are in the air

And my head is on the ground

And my feet are in the air

And my head is on the ground

And my feet are in the air
