[Verse 1]

Separation is a tricky task

Putting weight up on your back that you can’t handle just to make it last

Convinced that patience is a virtue when they hurt you

And semantics try to scramble everything you’ve come to know as facts

It’s the virtue of a humble man to have a plan and

Take the fam into your hands and try to understand them

Of course their actions never play into your thesis

With your kindness took for weakness, it’s a blessing to the leeches

That they are for many years while you just hope that it’s a phase

The sight insidе their eyes is thе shown the light if you’re just strong and wait

And often times they walk the line to keep you coming back

The stress inside your head makes it a task to keep your heart in tact

I started healing today (I started healing today)

Crooked memories are set straight or gone astray

You’re either jaded or delusional or don’t complain

But days can turn to life, and with respect I have to walk away, I’m sorry

[Hook]

I can’t let you down

When you’re the one who set the bar and watched the building fall apart

I’ve been dragged so low

Into the dirt but do you care or do you need someone to love?

Sing these songs you wrote

But what’s the use? One day you’ll sing them to an audience of one

Awareness and change

You don’t understand it now but those two things are not the same

Ya know, it would suck to die, but if all of us went to heaven... that'd be pretty lit
