The Thieves - S-R-A

(Taking the bank by storm, it's a new bug, a damn worm

Here we go, it's a hacker, better activate the damn tracker)

[Verse 1]

I still remember the day that I found the man

Living off of begging, he calls his home a garbage can

I tried to help him but more I tried to it seems

The more that he rots, the more he breaks at the seams

He told me about his life story and how he ended up here

How his life took a turn for the worse, and for me to steer clear

I listened intently, listening to not be rude

What he told me was pretty hella prude

[Pre-Hook]

I've come to the conclusion, and the fact

That most teens think life ain't worth crap

You haven't even lived your full live yet

And you've done some stupid stuff, I'll bet

Times of grief and hardships

Times of joy and relationships

That stuff doesn't need to be rushed

And you sure as hell don't need lust

Moral of the story is, don't live your life too fast

Don't leave those life lessons in the past

You've got so much time you can borrow

And remember kid, there's always tomorrow

[Verse 2]

He told me this advice as I turned away

But also told me about his life back in the day

I found out he hadn't always been like this, I recall

It turns out he was a master thief, always on the ball

Now he's starting to wave, he's done with this story

I left and smiled, he might as well live in his glory

[Hook]

Turn and catch it all, that's the motto they live by

What's yours is what's mine, that's my mantra we get by

Take it all, leave nothing but the dust

Maybe if we're careful they'll even bite it too

We don't live for the fame, instead we prefer the shadows

Don't turn around, because it'll only make you madder

Taking things from you, from your fathers, cause

We are the thieves, we live for easy fodder

[Verse 3]

I asked my father if he had ever heard about a famous thief like that

He told me he could not remember memory of it, only that

He recalled there was a time when there was a master heist, it was grey and black

But I got the meaning, it was onto the attack

I asked everyone I knew who fit the age range, despite being turned down, sometimes in rage

I soon figured out why it was kept a secret

The banks be paying to keep it a meek crit

Sure it was critical, but don't pay it no heed, they said

We're going bankrupt, but keep your money with us, they said

No one believed them, ideas were thrown by the masses

It was so long ago everyone thought it was the fascists

Nazis infiltrating your economy, we said?

Nah, just a depression, they fed

It was proving to be a long hunt, and after a while I felt obliged to return to the old c*nt

I showed him what I found, some of it I went out of my way for

He asked how I found that, this was not info given door-to-door

I asked some of his buddies that I found, it was a good day

Where are my buddies, he said?

Oh, over there in the grave mound

He sobbed, tears hitting the pavement as I watched

"I ended up here because my heist was botched..."

[Hook]

Turn and catch it all, that's the motto they live by

What's yours is what's mine, that's my mantra we get by

[Verse 4]

30 years ago this man was a powerhouse of invisibility

No one could see him, that's how great his ability

Making millions off the banks, no one knew who it was

Until one of his buddies ratted him out because

He wanted a share of his fortune and he declined

So the little snitch said he'll put you in a bind

Hey, looks out it turned out to be true

He served 20 years in the best state prison

"It was hell, and constant supervision"

While he told me his story, I felt sympathy for him

And for the life of me I don't think he committed a sin

He was born poor, lived rich, died poor

I watched as he had a heart attack

Don't call 911, he said

I want to die, -ack

Those were his last words, and I wrote a rap

I dedicate this to him, this goes out to Zach

The best thief in the world, living in a shack

No one could have figured out that he would do that, it's the ultimate cover

And what he told me reminisces me back to my lovers

[Verse 5]

I get on with life without the old man

I went to him every day 'fore he went bam

He taught me how to live life, how to not follow in his path

And that's all he told me before he had his heart attack

I don't really care about the dares that people give me, it's unfair

But they don't share my feelings, we're not carebears

But we'll make it through cause I bare my mind from such lairs

And over 75 years the man had a good life

Lived in a garbage can for the last five I

Miss him like a father, it was so much a bother

He respected my wishes, and I respected his

So for the last few months I've been living by his creed

Even though what he taught me isn't a need

I stand taller, a grand baller, ready to fall

At the call of a waller, because I'm a new man

And the muscles on my shoulders strech my collar (yeah)

So I'm spry, not going to die, jumping off buildings cause I'm fly

See Ubisoft taught me something good, so I don my hood, looking like an Assassin

Stealing because I'm a thief, and living the life of all three
