Would it help if i rearranged, the different thoughts out of my brain

To coherce words on a blank page, to try make sense out of this blame

I know i'm often a hurtful man, but in the past it's made the difference

Of her destroying all thats inside of me, or keeping myself on my feet

Slow down

I wouldn't know what to say to you, to help you understand what i'm going through

Just know that i am trying to learn again, a realistic way to my happiness

The battle of duality in my head, to swallow my pride or be done with it

Is getting in the way of my heart, finding a way for my love to restart

Slow down

Maybe you think that i'm out of line, but i think my foots on the right side

Maybe it surfaced at the wrong time, but these thoughts still linger in my mind

Demonised in the crosshairs, accused of revelling in dispair

And any analogy of defence, to maintain your conscience of innocence

Slow down

I could have been wrong when i asked you, to be more than what you were willing to

You could have been wrong when you thought this, only needs honesty to be fixed

The truth is that i'm struggling to deal with it, why couldn't you follow the script

That i designed with an immature mind, that i'm trying to impose on your life

Slow down

Love ain't a goal that you try to reach, or an infalible ideology

That idea is what made my heart break, when imperfections appeared as mistakes

Love i've learned is a process, of creating our own context

Where my issues won't break you, instead you break my issues
