I used to play with tiny red bugs

They lived in the planter next to my garage

Now i tell all the bugs to go away

As if they're interfering with my personal space

I remember when they used to call me bug

Bees and ants and caterpillars and butterflies too

They were all good friends of mine

And they could be a friend to you

I remember when they used to call me bug

Sometimes I think about the past

And if bugs were way bigger than us

And maybe that’s why we're so scared of them

Because it's something in our veins, in our blood

I remember when they used to call me bug

I remember when they used to call me bug

I remember when we used to kiss and hug

I remember when they used to call me bug
