Golden sun rays trickling down

Droplets of their warmth cover the ground

Gentle breezes whisper in my ear

Never a sky ever so clear

Clouds on show, performing proud

Silhouettes waiting to be found

Kites cutting across the stage

Colour distracts from the grey

Birds singing in the trees

Songs drifting on falling leaves

Sky alights in a fiery glow

Chilling air begins to blow

Candy floss clouds dotted about

Bittersweet shapes slowly fade out

As the sun sets, the stars ignite

But nothing can stop the turning of the night

So the sun might be setting

And night might be creeping

So warm rays may be going

And bitter winds may be blowing

But in my arms you can find warmth

As you wait for the breaking of dawn

But in my arms you can find warmth

As you wait for the breaking of dawn

Golden sun rays trickling down
