I was sick

I was tired

I was standing in the rain near a dog tied to a wire

It wandered near

I looked away

I looked up and saw a mirror among the pigeons and the planes

I stumbled out into the waste

Looked at the clouds, looked at the space

And saw all the pieces falling down

Obscuring lights along the ground

Felt in my feet, felt in my legs

The coldest breeze upon the ledge

And I saw myself instead

And I was wasting away
