The singer left the toxic relationship. He packed up and took back his tapes, which the other person supposedly borrowed but never gave back.
With the rest of the song about never wanting to see or even be around the person of focus in the song, it makes sense for the last lines to say this. He wants to never see this person again, no matter if that means leaving his town to ensure he never sees her again or he’ll change his own appearance so she won’t recognize him.
This can be interpreted as the note the singer left for the person they were in a relationship with before they left the relationship.
The person the narrator is leaving will probably only realize the narrator is serious when he really doesn’t come back.
