Kehlani has also been affiliated with the sneaker brand New Balance, appearing at the launch party for the #MY998S’s – we know she keeps it all runnin'.

Probably the most blatant suggestion that PND was in a relationship with Kehlani, as he modestly brags about the surprising turn of events that led to their joining whilst also firing shots at her past lovers.

Party also suggests that he could’ve and possibly should’ve been with her from the start but admits he was unsure of his ability to care for her. PND’s mentor Drake expressed a similar dilemma in “Houstatlantavegas”:

Similar to the way a letter would be ended with “P.s.”, Party ends his musical letter to Kehlani with a play on his stage name. Kehlani was also the person who first referred to him as ‘PX’.

However, the post scriptum precedes the final words of a letter which may suggest that PND is holding off on certain details as his ink’s become shy or he’s planning a sequel track.

Due to her mom’s drug addiction, Kehlani was born premature and shortly after her birth, her mother was sent to prison. Her father was fatally shot whilst she was still a child, so the only person left to care for her was her aunt.

PND appreciated that to be fully accepted by Kehlani, he’d have to make a good impression with her aunt. Due to Kehlani’s hardships as a child, the fact that Party is a ‘hood nigga’ may have caused some concern whereas him being a singer compensates partially for this.

He feels that he may have possibly rushed things between him and Kehlani and that may be the reason their relationship became so platonic.

PARTY reminisces about Kehlani flaunting herself in the nude, without any sort of undergarments, making her way down the staircase – getting him quite thirsty.

In actuality, they’d lay with each other instead of rushing sex whilst standing up. PND couldn’t stay to hit it in the morning, as his career demanded the majority of his time, and he’d have to leave early to catch a flight to his next tour destination.

Both PARTY and Kehlani would say that they were both single and never mentioned each other as being a couple in any of their interviews. But for as much as they denied it, they equally threw more into the fire by posting pictures of themselves together on Instagram.

Party is simply giving out a shoutout to the producers of this song.

Both Kehlani and PND are in the music industry. Of course, it’s not likely PND is her first sexual partner, and it’s entirely possible she’s slept with someone he’ll have to make plans with.

She might want to keep secrets, as it’s understandably awkward to work with someone who’s had sex with your partner, but he wants to know ahead of time.

Uber is a rideshare service. With it, you can call for a car at your location, whether it be a cheaper car, SUV, or luxury. A driver is normally there within minutes, making it more convenient in smaller cities with less taxis.

However, Kehlani lives in Oakland. Apart from being a moderately large city (population: 415,000) next to an extremely large city (San Francisco), it doesn’t have Uber available, making a cab preferable.
