We lost, we lost the majesty

There was a world that smiled at me

Far from the afterthought of any before

We lost, we lost the majesty

I can’t just wait in anticipation

Now I’m expected to be void of a saviour

I’ve never known a feeling like this

Internal winter

The cold world within us

It took a moment to take that life away

A life that lives on in our memory

I watched you leave that body behind

I saw time sacrifice your mind, so I turned away

But that’s not to say that I wasn’t aware or I didn’t care

It’s just the way I avoided despair and it’s nightmares

Love left with the light, now I’m sick of the night

There was a world that smiled at me

But that world disappeared in the space of a few years

Love left with the light, now I’m sick of the night

I’ve never been so stuck inside me

Internal winter

The cold world within us

It took a moment to take that life away

A life that lives on in our memory

I watched you leave that body behind

I saw time sacrifice your mind, so I turned away

To seek calm in the storm, is not to stop it entirely

If the worst is ignored, you’ll be shocked by the sight of it
