Chorus:

Com-ic books

Com com

Comic books

Verse 1:

I'm a fan of the expanded universe

The way you traverse

Between stories of Luke, Zayne and Obi

I hope these stores can save 'em for me

'Cuz I don't wanna act disorderly

Maybe I should order three volumes

Of the walking dead series

It'd get my head delirious

If I had all of 'em

Fuck who thinks it's nerdy

I'll still be reading 'em at thirty

There's something about flickin' those pages

And witnessin' the illustrations

Cartoons frozen in motion

They told some of the most important

Stories that my mind soaked in

Tales and adventures

My childhood was never stale 'Cuz of them works

Those extra bursts

Made my head better to compose a verse

'Cuz of the extra arsonal

That these artists fill

My mind up

I subconsciously signed up

For storytelling and tried my luck

Negan, Deathstroke and Mara Jade

I can't even paraphrase

How awesome they were

I could talk with lots of words

And still wouldn't describe

How good the time is

When I eye the strips

Of paper in star wars vader series

People say "it's clear he's a nerd

Just look at his t-shirt, "

And what makes you be disturbed

That I read the works of Stan Lee

Can't you grasp that maybe

That I'm not made to see

The same vision that you believe?

But regardless I embark in shifts

Of reading through passages

Imagine me in the madness

It's the chapters of avengers

That gets my rappin send to worlds

Composed only in my mind

I even write fanfiction and that is why

Chorus

Verse 2:

Later on I blasted away

At some anime

Shout out to Donnan

Though I didn't get into manga

I gotta thank ya

For givin me deathnote and attack on titan

But let's get back to writin'

'Bout (comic books)

I love em so much I put them on a hook

I loved marvel zombies

Terrifying like carnivals of mummies

When I was younger I read spiderman

What a fuckin' fighter damn

I wish I could swing webs from my hand

Climb walls and fight crime like BAM!

I loved the Simpsons treehouse of horror

And I'd read lots of homers barters

With blunders and schemes

But I'll admit I quitted for much of my teens

'Cuz I tried fittin' in with the scene

And comics just weren't there thing

But years back I was my own bartman

Red mask and cape I embarked and

Lived out my dreams

Emulated heroes on the TV screen

I remember venom vs carnage

And my eyes were darting

On the realistic drawings

All else paled to this shit what a scene

The two symbiotes

Feuding and giving it loads

The crazy thing was I didn't go

Back to comics till years later

When I was finished being a teenager

The walking dead rekindled a major love

One that was intoxicating and such

Hypnotism I couldn't escape the lust

That reawakened with the paintbrush

I embraced and got sucked in

A reintroduction

And gave me the inspiration for this production
