[Intro]

Woke up today in the ground

I'm feeling so overly profound

I know that I'm not dead

I know the answer in my head

I have plenty of friends down here

Each morning they disappear

To live for something better

Anyone but me

Because I am negative

I am lost

Took them for granted

Now I'm living alone

[Verse]

These earthworms are my friends

My lifeless body gives them

A reason to stick around

A reason to live

A reason to look up to

Anything but me

Or my sanity

[Chorus]

I am stuck in this casket

These hinges are too strong

Everyone just moves along

I'm doin' it better off alone

KIll me slowly

Take what's left of me

Kill me softly

Let the earthworms take me

[Verse]

I need to greet my friends with such a common haste

I know everything will be ok

Just as long as I am

I know I need to stop burning all those bridges

This casket is closing and I'm holding in sadness

And the flick of a switch

Makes me so god damn sick

I know I need to quit something I just don't know what it is

Again

[Chorus]

I am stuck in this casket

These hinges are too strong

Everyone just moves along

I'm doin' it better off alone

Kill me slowly

Take what's left of me

Kill me softly

Let the earthworms take me
