Spotlight

I am in the spotlight

Spotlight tonight

And I am going to live my life

There is a big sun

And there is a small world

Always learning to do what I am told

You talk to people everyday that you see

Travel in one moment around the country

Not much dough and no gold mine

Waiting for better times

Is the burden of a foolish mind

I could hold the curtain of the sky

Leave me alone

Till I am free

To fall once more into humanity

The spotlight is on me

What comes next in this peculiar world

What is the news to hear

Where is the ceremony of being

I am talking but not out loud

The words falling like rain

On a dusty ground

Melodrama on the street corner

Some are smiling

And some suffer

Like a queue,I wait for my turn

Like a good politician

I am born to run

My ambition seems bare

Just to survive

Competition everywhere

Blows away the mind

Makes the will an evil ploy

Only for pleasure and what to enjoy

Is life not about give and take

Or something else we forsake

Intensity of the light rays

Makes my eyes open to

What is divine

There is a G O D up there

He gives me light

Somehow

Someway

It is mine

I do not want to lose it all

I am fighting Lucifer and his demons

Kingdom of darkness

Has nothing to offer to a human soul

The devil has a long spoon

To eat it all

But I got faith and hope

In the word

Before the universe was born

There was love

Even in the chaos

I look at Jesus

I am more than a survivor

I am a victor in the light
