I was born in South America

In a country called Guyana

Parents split when I was 3

So I stayed with my grandma

Had a pretty good childhood

Didn’t really have to struggle

I appreciate everything I got

That’s what taught me to be humble

When I was at my grandma

I had a lot of cousins

But they assume I’m Jamaican

Like there isn’t other islands

That was so much frustration

Then here come high school

This was something else

Start off really bad

But got fun towards the end

During this time

My other sister was born

But back to high school

I actually graduated

I don’t how I pass

But damn I really made it

Was about to head straight college

But the process took forever

By the time I blink my eyes

It was almost September

So I moved outta state

Came down to Myrtle beach

Finally got my first job

And it was really neat
