See now, when the month it comes around, it's called the month of Dhù ’l-Ḥijj’
People they come from every place on this planet to do it
It is the Ḥajj, the journey to the House of Allah
Where over two million different people come from near and from far
By car, by boat, and by plane, and by the camel
Some brothers even do it by foot wearin' the sandal!
But when they arrive and the city just glows
You'll understand the reasonin' why everyone goes
Seeking protection from Allah in every step that they take
'Here I am for my Creator!', they cry, 'Labbayk!'

Doin' ṭawaf around the Kaʿba, kissin' the Black Stone if you can
But you haven't done nothin' 'til you've done Zamzam!
Gettin' on the bus so you can get to ʿArafāt (Oh)
Takin' all the pebbles you use to stone the Jamarāt (Oh-oh-oh)
Pacin' back and forth between the Ṣafaʾ and the Marwa
Commemoratin' what was done for Ishmael by Hagar
Sacrifice a lamb then goin' ahead and shave your head
People are joinin' in the feastin' after all of the prayers are said
Now nothin' beats this trip, not even Taj Mahal
Because there's Africans, Indonesians, from Egypt, and all
