[Verse 1]

The situation's complicated, not sure how to explain it

Maybe it would be best to put it on a track so I could play it

I'm a little off-kilter, in case the beat didn't let you know

But maybe it would help if I could put it in a flow

But I'm worried that it actually might not

So I don't even try, I just sit here and rot

Waiting for the right time, waiting for the right lines

Waiting for my plans to become more than just a thought

Speaking of which I've been thinking that they might not accept me

Super cliché, but it's kinda got me stressin' and it's testin'

It's not even pass-fail, which I always thought was easier

It's more like all the time prayin' "Please be here" but wait

I don't wanna talk about it

I don't wanna go through it, I just wanna walk around it

But walkin' ain't my thing so I'll just stand, no I'll just sit

Now book 19, one, one doesn't really fit

[Verse 2]

But what if they hate it, what if they can't relate it

To anything in their life, I would ask "Why did I create this?"

But why did I create it? Cause I thought it would be a blessing?

I'm not sure how to answer, so I'll ask another question:

How many of my bars will be about the same thing?

Consistency is key, but repetition drives me crazy

Which really doesn't make much sense, if you start to think through it

Cause every day I'm putting out flames that could have been a movement

These moments are ubiquitous, omnipotently pernicious

They have the power to destroy me–they're super vicious

Superficial desires got me inspired to require myself to bow down to liars who set me on fire

Follow the rules you lose, choose violence you win

So that's how I'mina choose to play a game set up by a world of sin

Die to myself, kill the flesh, take a step, make a breath

Know they'll be back soon, so I'mina choose never to rest
